We all know how big a role confidence plays in being successful.

Confidence is a major factor in determining success in your personal and business life.

Here are 6 Daily Habits of the most successful people we know.

1) Commit to learning everyday

The majority of us have to commute to work.

At our affordable website design agency in Singapore, we either take the train, bus, or drive to work.

This takes between 20 mins to an hour.

Invest in a kindle, commit to reading during your commute to work.

Unsure of what to read? Check out these books that have changed the lives of millions of people around the world.

Some of us just hate to read, or drive to work.

Podcasts and audiobook versions are the way to go.

Spotify has audiobook versions of the best business and success driven books, and the following are some podcasts we recommend to get you started.

2) Exercise

We hear this one all the time, and read about it.

The ones who commit to exercising, and their health in general, are those who reap the most benefits.

Are you just going to read through this article and do nothing about it? Seriously?

You can start by pausing, and doing 5 Burpees with the help of this video, and see what it does to your mood in general.

Did you do it?

If You did, congratulate yourself for Taking Action.

If not, its not too late.

Besides the mental benefits like improving your mood, boosting your energy, and getting a better nights sleep, before you make any excuses, take a look at the exercise routines of some of the busiest people in the world:

  • Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, wakes up at 3.45am, and is at the Gym at 5am daily
  • Richard Branson sleeps with the curtains undrawn, awake by 5.45am, plays tennis before breakfast
  • Jack Dorsey, Co Founder of Twitter, wakes up at 5.30am to meditate, followed by a 10km run
  • Indra Nooyi, CEO of PEPSI, wakes up at 4am, and is at the office no later than 7am

4) Get enough Sleep

The amount of sleep we need greatly varies based on our lifestyle choices, mainly our diet, amount of exercise we do, our stress levels, and general sense of happiness.

The rule of thumb is 6-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, or 4-6 hours, with a nap in between.

Needless to say, there are negative effects of sleeping too little.

Following an evening routine is a great way to go, approximately 30-45 mins before you plan to sleep.

The following are what the most successful people do:

  • Completely unplug from all tech devices 30 mins before sleeping(Kindle not included)
  • Reflect on your day, could you have done anything better today?
  • Plan the next day, and get yourself ready for your morning routine, mentally prepare for it
  • Take a few moments to relax, take deep breaths, and be grateful.

5) Practice gratitude

Most of us get through the day not knowing what actually happened.

Things are moving too fast, stress about our business, family, and health.

We suggest taking 5-10 mins everyday, to just sit down somewhere, take a walk, and be grateful for everything that we have.

Embrace life, be grateful for your job, if you have a great family, be thankful for them.

Gratitude is a really powerful element that brings us closer to each other, makes us happier, and basically just stops all of us from complaining.

“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude.”

6) Socialize

Life is not all about work.

One of the biggest regrets of the dying, is working too hard.

Make time for your family and friends, your wife, your boyfriend, or girlfriend.

Spend some time to unplug from work, do big picture thinking, and disconnect yourself from the day to day aspects of business and work.

Join a few networking events.

If you’re really shy and hate meeting strangers, invite your clients or suppliers out for a drink, or coffee.

One of the keys to success is knowing the right people, building strong relationships that are not broken easily, and improving the lives of the people you come into contact with.

I will leave you with this very powerful quote which i heard for the first time by a very wise person.

“How you do something, is how you do everything.”
